Some women use a female condom during sex. It's a bit bigger than a condom and is slipped into the vagina. It covers the inside of the vagina and part of the outer lips or labia as well, offering great protection against disease-causing agents.

So it's a good idea, especially on occasions when a condom doesn't work out…
